Denna gång ber jag er fästa uppmärksamhet på…

Två aktuella gästtonsättare på EMS: Seán Clancy samt Mark Pilkington. Korta presentationer:

Dublin born composer Seán Clancy’s (b. 1984) music has been described as ‘exploring the tensions between found and original material, narrative and rupture, elite and vernacular values, and between innovation and intervention’ (Journal of Music). His work has been commissioned and performed by many of the world’s leading ensembles and artists and he has developed particularly close ties with the RTÉ NSO, BCMG, Quatuor Bozzini, Crash Ensemble, Ensemble KROCK, Orkest de Ereprijs, Decibel, Fidelio Trio and Thumb as well as soloists Susan Narucki, and Garth Knox.

Mark Pilkington is a composer of electroacosutic music. His music has been commissioned by the School of Computer Science the Univeristy of Manchester, Arts Council England, PRSF, SPNM, Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) and the National Youth Theatre. He researches into the audio-visual within the language of electroacoustic music and works in the areas of screened works, acousmatic composition, installation and live performance.

Dessutom… ambisonicsfraktionen har deltagit i Linux Audio Conference i Karlsruhe senaste månaden. Allt av ambisonics-intresse redovisas frikostigt.

Dessutom… uppmärksammar vi VEMS sommarkonsert, som äger rum lördagen 7:e juni 2014.
